Who we are
PACS1 Research UK is a charitable incorporated organisation registered in England and Wales (charity number 1173691). We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact us at info@pacs1.co.uk.
What we collect
- If you use our contact form: your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message.
- If you email us: your email address and anything you include in your message.
- If you donate: we don't take payments on this website. Donations are made through JustGiving, which handles your details under its own privacy policy. JustGiving shares your name and donation with us, and your contact details only if you agree to it.
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider keeps short-term server logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to you, to manage donations and thank donors, and to keep the records the law requires.
Our legal basis
We rely on our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and running the charity, on legal obligations for financial records, and on your consent where we ask for it.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We use a small number of trusted providers to run the website and our email: Vercel (website hosting), Resend (delivers contact form messages to our inbox), Supabase (stores and plays the video on our home page) and Microsoft (email). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. When they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
- Messages and emails: up to two years after our last contact with you.
- Donation and Gift Aid records: six years, as HMRC requires.
- Server logs: a short period, set by our hosting provider.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email info@pacs1.co.uk and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
